Each stop on the World Rugby Sevens Series is full of on-field action and highlights that are captured by the cameras. What often gets missed are the moments behind-the-scenes. In Vancouver, there were some great moments that helped define the week of HSBC Canada Sevens. Check out our five favourite moments that happened off-pitch:
5 - Australia experiences the Canadian cold
Teams experienced a weather shock when they arrived in Vancouver, but it was Australia who embraced the cold a whole other way. PRO TIP: Don’t lose a competition in a practice with the Aussies.

3 - The Perry BAker Cutout saga
USA’s Perry Baker, got wind that there was a life-size cutout of himself at BC Place. Word on the street was he wanted to take it home…
Rumour had it, @SpeedStick11 heard he had a 7ft cutout somewhere in @bcplace at #Canada7s…needless to say he was interested! pic.twitter.com/4KS73pm6e0

2 - South Africa helps a Vancouver Civilian
This was one of the greatest testaments that rugby builds character. The Blitzboks were enroute to the stadium on Sunday morning, preparing for their upcoming matches, when they found a Vancouverite who was in need of a tire change.

In the midst of competition, they showed what makes rugby sevens players stand out.
1 - Fiji sings to the Musqueam Nation
The elite athletes of World Rugby Sevens love to give back to local communities. Team Fiji shared their rugby skills with the children at the local Musqueam Nation during their time in Vancouver. After being greeted with a traditional First Nations welcome song, Fiji responded with this:
Beautiful moment with @fijirugby 🇫🇯& Musqueam Nation! 🇨🇦 #Canada7s pic.twitter.com/p04rASDSwr

We cannot wait to see what happens in 2018 when the world comes back to Vancouver.
