TICKET PRICES ANNOUNCED FOR 2017!


TICKETS PRICES FOR 2017 HSBC CANADA SEVENS VANCOUVER ANNOUNCED IN ADVANCE OF SEPTEMBER 13 EARLY BIRD ON-SALE

VANCOUVER, BC (August 30, 2016) – Canada Sevens organizers announced today ticket prices for the second annual HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver tournament taking place at BC Place Stadium on March 11-12, 2017. Based on fan feedback, organizers have confirmed an available seating configuration of 33,192 tickets per day, which includes a limited section of upper bowl seats. General Admission seating will remain in both the upper and lower bowls, with an increase in the number of reserved seating options.

“We have taken valuable fan feedback to develop a ticketing structure that provides a number of options for spectators,” said Bill Cooper, Canada Sevens CEO. “With less than two weeks to go before tickets go on sale, we are excited to be building towards our second year of hosting this unique event that was so enthusiastically embraced by Canadians and visitors from around the world.”

Ticket offerings are packaged as two-day passes, and include a range of options, beginning with General Admission tickets at $99.00/two-day, and a group rate (10 or more tickets) for $89.00/two-day. Other categories include 7’s Reserved which has been increased due to popular demand at $119.00/two-day and 7’s Access at $159.00/two-day respectively; Grosvenor Club seats are available at $220.00, and finally Field Side Premium seats at $475.00. In addition, for a second year in a row, Suite inventory is already sold out, however Platinum Suites – an enhanced premium suite experience - can still be secured by contacting platinumclub@canadasevens.com. Tournament Passes go on sale to the Early Bird list on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, followed by a general public on-sale beginning Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Fans can register for the HSBC Canada Sevens Early Bird list until September 12th at canadasevens.com. Those on the list will receive an exclusive seven-day window to purchase their tickets before the general public. Single day tickets are scheduled to go on sale in early January pending availability.

In only its second year to visit Vancouver as part of the 10 stop HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, the HSBC Canada Sevens Vancouver enjoyed an extremely successful Canadian debut, captivating rugby fans and sports enthusiasts alike with its combination of world class sport and unprecedented fan participation including a unique tradition of creative costumes. The tournament broke records hosting the two largest rugby crowds in Canadian history, with more than 60,000 fans at BC Place Stadium over the course of the two-day event. Canada men’s sevens team won 5 of 6 games to claim the Bowl title while New Zealand were crowned the tournament Cup Champions. The event drew fans from other parts of Canada and the world, with approximately 60% of the spectators being from the Greater Vancouver Region, more than 20% from other parts of British Columbia and Canada, approximately 10% from the United States, and 10% International visitors representing a total of 12 countries.
