Jones captained Canada at the 2009 Junior World Championship in Japan. He also competed for Canada at the U17 and U19 levels whilst also playing in the Canadian Rugby Championship for
the BC Bears. Jones though is a stalwart of the Sevens Team and played in all nine tournaments during the 2013-14 season before competing at the Commonwealth Games.
In the 2014-15 season, Jones played in seven legs and was Canada’s top point scorer with 191, taking over the kicking responsibilities for the injured Nathan Hirayama. During the year, he
became just the ninth man in Canadian history to score 50 sevens series tries.
Jones also has international experience in the fifteen-man game and featured in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, earning his 20th test cap in the process. Jones, who’s strong in both defence
and attack, has become a versatile option for Canada over the years as he can cover several positions.
