Berna enjoyed game time in 2015’s Limerick Sevens tournament as with plenty of first-team players away on Rugby World Cup duty in England, youth was given a chance. Berna played for Canada’s U20 side last season and travelled to Portugal with the squad in May. The hard- working UBC Thunderbirds player, who is from Vancouver, was also selected for the Maple Leafs’ Sevens tour of South America in 2015. He also played at this year’s Central Coast Sevens in Australia.
